With Great Joy we Announce Trenton James Whittington

Smack dab in the middle of our little town of Puyallup boasts the 6th largest state fair in the U.S. The annual state fair is in September, but the Spring Fair is held in April. Lacey, Becky(Anthon's mom), Hailey, Tessa, Brooklyn and I decided to go on Friday due to the wonderful warm weather and a chance to get out and go see the animals and festivities of the fair. That is when it all started... the dreaded yet welcomed CONTRACTIONS! Less than 24 hours later...Trenton!!! Trenton was born on Saturday, April 17th, at 2:47pm. Coming one week before his due date; he weighed 7lbs 6ounces, 20 1/2" long.

I posted these pictures backwards, don't know how to fix it so we will start with the end of day 2. Relaxing at Home.

Brooklyn is quite interested and taken by her new baby brother. She likes to touch him, hug him, and check out all his features. Nose, eyes, mouth, cheecks, belly button(she is not quite sure about it yet) and on and on.

Daddy and Trent getting ready to go home.

You can't see it but my Aunt Karla made Trent this cute onesie that says "Child of God" on it. He wore it home or at least was going to until he barfed all over it.

Sweet baby boy!

Every knee will bow, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord

We had a very nice and relaxing Easter Sunday. After a great church service, we went home and took a nap, then headed out to my parents for Easter lunch/dinner.

Cousins, Grandparents, and More

It is no secret I am ready for spring! I have six weeks to go (give or take) before baby #2 arrives and I have lost my "do everything without complaining..." attitude. I am officially tired of being sick (don't let anyone tell you it gets better after the first trimester because for me it doesn't, and if it does for you then count your blessings) i am tired of cold and rain, I am tired of viruses and colds, and to be honest I am just tired. I don't remember being this tired with Brooklyn. Ok now that I have officially complained to the point that you want to stop reading this post. Nothing is ever as bad as seems, and YES God's grace is sufficient and AMAZING, so moving on...

I took Brooklyn down to the local flower farm on a day it wasn't raining, at least for a moment, and took some amature pictures. The tulips aren't in bloom yet, that is when it really gets beautiful, but it was a good way to get out of the house, Brooklyn LOVES being outside.

Brooklyn loves birdies!!!

This is the cutest outfit that Brooklyn's auntie Laurel bought her. It is the perfect spring outfit and makes her eyes look piercingly blue!

Grandpa and Gigi Whittington came last weekend for a visit. We didn't do anything out of the ordinary but Brooklyn loved having them. They colored, went to the park, played, and of course the guys golfed! She woke up from her naps the two days after they left and would say Gigi? Papa?

My sister Rachelle and her family came from Idaho to celebrate her husband JB's dads retirement, so we got to visit them. It is amazing how fast kids grow. The kids had lots of fun playing together. Brooklyn loves to follow the big kids around. I had to laugh because Lauren just over 1 year, holding baby Tessa in the picture is a crack up. Brooklyn won't smile for the camera, ever, and Hailey could care less, but here is little Lauren.. you say smile and point the camera at her and she grins from ear to ear, posing for the camera holding her baby cousin. She is totally my sisters daughter, rachelle used to put us younger kids is cheesy poses and take pictures of us, I love it!

Cousin Blaire!!!

I do not have any pictures of our new cousin Blaire but this is pitures of the shower Ashley threw for Laurel in honor of baby Blaire. Nate, Brooklyn and I went down to the Whittington's to celebrate with them and also finish Brooklyn's big girl bed quilt. The shower was in January and Baby Blaire was born 2/14/10, on Valentine's Day, what a sweetheart. She was 8 lbs. We can't wait to meet her, but will probably have to wait until July. The shower was really beautiful. Ashley made everything and it was like a pink and silver dream. Laurel is standing by Grandma Boesiger who made her the wall hanging they are holding for Blaire's bedroom. The picture above that, is Laurel and her sister with all the fun gifts. Welcome to the world Baby Blaire, we love you!!!!!!!!!

A time to Celebrate-For unto us a Child in born!!!

Here is my Christmas post. Really more like my December post. All things Christmas, leading up to Jesus Birthday and of most importance Christmas Day. I did not get a Christmas card out this year, I was determined to enjoy this time, and if I didn't get to some things this year, well so be it. With that said, I thoroughly enjoyed getting each Christmas card we received this year. We were amazed to see long time friends with their growing families, new friends with their families, and to hear of the wonderful things the Lord is doing in each of your lives throughout the year. I was moved to tears of joy reading The Penberthy Family Christmas letter, that told of the true power, grace and sovereignty of our Savior through the salvation of their dear sister Kelly in her last days here on earth. For by GRACE we truly have been saved. So on that note let the pictures begin...

Family picture at University Village doing some Christmas shopping with Bri and Phil. You Can't tell in the picture but this water fountain was frozen, pretty neat.

This Santa was walking around and Bri and I think he was the real santa. A real true white beard, Rosy checks, and well you can tell but just big.

Christmas Day at my parents! Hailey pushing Brooklyn's "to Grandma's house" suitcase and Brooklyn riding in Hailey's car. Go figure.
Hailey and Brooklyn opening gifts!

My sister Rachelle has this really neat picture of her as a baby sitting in the middle of
of all the gifts so we thought we would give it a try with the girls, not so much.
Brooklyn got this back pack from her Gigi and
Grandpa Whittington with four little horses in it. She thought it was pretty cool.

Her Christmas hat, this is not a great pic, but she looks really cute in it!

Brooklyn and I got this golf shirt for Nate, it was the last one, great find!
It says, "King of Clubs"

This was Nate and I's gift to Brooklyn. She played with it for a really long time. Brooklyn loves to sit and figure things out.
Another try at the picture with little Tessa

My Christmas stocking. Hot Chocolate, Mary Inglebreit calendar, Sarah Palin book, and a Christmas ornament. Doesn't get any better. Thanks Santa (Janet and Fred).
Santa brought Brooklyn an Elmo doll. She loves it and is giving it kisses in the picture

Brooklyn opening up her stocking, which is really Nate's, I still haven't made her one yet. Next year!
Nate continued a Christmas tradition that was done at his house for years. Christmas breakfast made by dad, not just any breakfast though, eggs Benedict. Yum Yum!

Nate preparing breakfast!

Family picture Christmas Eve at my Aunt's house.

Hailey loves all things that sparkle and glitter, so these pretty trees were very tempting.

Brooklyn and Hailey got the pants and coat outfit from my aunt Lynn and Uncle Gary, so cute. The girls wanted them on right away.

Hailey got after her gift and ripped it open

Brooklyn and my Uncle Gary opening her gift

Our first and only snow so far this year, Only a tiny dusting.
Which is peanuts compared to our 8 or so inches last year that delayed our flight to California

My Grandma starting our annual Cookie Day many many years ago, a tradition that has continued since she has passed. It is a treasured memory in my heart and I love that we still do it. This is a doll stroller that Brooklyn is not suppose to get into, we turn around and look where she is...Naughty list.

Spritz cookies!

My aunt Karla, Karen, and Tammy busy at work. All on different cookies.

Brooklyn and I made some cookies the night before cookie day because there are only so many cookies you can cook in one oven. I just loved having her in the kitchen with me. Even though she will never remember this Christmas baking cookies, I will, and will Cherish the memory.

Brooklyn and I went over to Tammy's house and helped her decorate her tree. She had this cute headband that Brooklyn wore for a little while.

Brooklyn in Seattle with Santa. She did pretty good. I think the best part was that Santa gave her a candy cane at the end.

I meant for the picture below this one to be posted first. Below Haily looking at Santa and here Hailey not so ok with Santa. Pretty cute.
